Important note: if you are on our support group e-mail list, the last communication that went out was on January 27th and included a poll for February/March meeting dates. Please look for an email with the final dates and registration links by February 4th. Registration forms are manually reviewed, so please allow one business day for receipt of your confirmation email. If you have registered for a meeting, but don't receive a confirmation email with the link to join within one business day, please check your spam/junk/promotions/updates folders and contact us at info@gdatf.org if it didn't arrive. If you happen to find a GDATF or Zoom email in one of these other folders, please mark it as "not spam" and move it to your in box. (Meetings are scheduled two months out, and some email providers will delete messages after 30 days if they aren't in your in box).
When the GDATF was founded in 1990, Dr. Nancy Hord Patterson answered correspondence out of her living room - and in-person support groups (organized via snail mail) were the bedrock of the organization. These days, we primarily connect people via Zoom meetings and online forums, which allows us to bring together patients and caregivers from all over the country (even the world). You can contact us about Zoom support group options and we'll add you to our email notification list, or you can check out our online communities in the menu to the left - all provided in a secure environment, hosted by trained moderators.
Zoom meetings are usually hosted twice per month, with dates/times determined by polling everyone on our email list. All patients and caregivers are welcome.
Many thanks to our volunteer support group leaders - and to the doctors and clinics who have hosted support group meetings in recent years (see below for a partial list). We'll keep you posted on future events!
